Ultrasonic humidification nozzles can add a fine water spray to industrial air where compressed air, water quality, ventilation and humidity controls are properly engineered. Jeltecn’s SK508, SV882 and SV980 models provide different spray angles, reach and utility demand. The correct choice depends on the room or process zone, not on an industry label alone.
When to evaluate ultrasonic humidification nozzles
Evaluate this nozzle range when a defined production or storage zone needs added moisture and the site can supply continuous compressed air. The spray must have enough residence time and airflow for the intended result without wetting products, walls, floors or equipment.
Do not select from a target relative-humidity value alone. Room volume, air changes, make-up air, process heat, existing moisture load, seasonal outdoor conditions and control response all affect the required evaporation rate.
Verified SK508, SV882 and SV980 data
| Model | Air requirement | Water requirement | Tested average droplets | Approx. no-wind distance | Angle |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SK508 | 5.0 bar; 112 L/min | 1.0 bar; 0.359 L/min | 10.02 μm at 0.5 m | ≈2 m | 80° |
| SV882 | 5.0 bar; 240 L/min | 1.0 bar; 0.746 L/min | 13.79 μm at 1.5 m | ≈3.5 m | 60° |
| SV980 | 3.0 bar; 307 L/min | 0.5 bar; 0.688 L/min | 15.82 μm at 2.0 m | ≈4 m | 30° |
Droplet values are test averages at the stated heights. Distance is approximate under no-wind conditions. In-room coverage and evaporation vary with temperature, humidity and airflow.
SK508 provides the widest listed pattern with the lowest air demand. SV882 is a mid-width choice. SV980 has the narrowest listed angle and longest listed no-wind distance but requires the highest air flow.
Industrial humidification system design
- Moisture load: calculate the required water addition from room/process conditions and ventilation rather than from floor area alone.
- Air capacity: multiply per-nozzle air flow by the maximum simultaneous nozzle count and check the pressure under full flow.
- Water quality: define treatment and filtration appropriate to the process, product and hygiene requirements.
- Controls: use suitable humidity sensing, staged output and high-limit protection for the facility.
- Placement: allow the spray to mix with moving air without immediately striking a surface.
- Drainage and access: plan for inspection, isolation and safe maintenance.
The documented water inlet is G1/8 and the air inlet is G1/4. Common fixed and thin-wall mounting styles are available. Review the installation guide before fabricating the header.
Industry evaluation
Textile and paper operations
Evaluate the system where humidity stability is important to the process or material. Confirm the target range with the process owner and test for unintended wetting, deposits and non-uniform conditions near air outlets.
Electronics and precision work areas
Humidity, water quality and contamination control may be tightly governed. Obtain approval from the facility and quality teams before introducing any open spray system. Do not treat the nozzle as a substitute for a qualified environmental-control design.
Warehouses and general manufacturing
Large spaces may have uneven heat and ventilation. Divide the area into controllable zones and validate sensor placement instead of assuming one reading represents the whole building.
Commissioning and acceptance checks
- Record the model, nozzle count, mounting height and direction.
- Measure air and water pressure with all intended nozzles active.
- Observe spray drift and check nearby surfaces for wetting.
- Trend humidity at representative points over the normal operating cycle.
- Verify the response to doors, make-up air and process changes.
- Document control settings and the safe shutdown condition.
If output is weak or uneven, use the ultrasonic nozzle troubleshooting guide before changing the model.
