Air atomizing nozzles combine compressed air with a liquid stream to produce a controllable fine spray. Compare internal- and external-mix options for humidification, coating, cooling and process applications, then confirm liquid properties, air and liquid pressure, flow rate, droplet target, spray pattern, connection and material. Choose an Air Atomizing Nozzle by Process Duty
Air atomizing nozzles use compressed air or gas together with a liquid supply to create a controllable fine spray. The correct model depends on the liquid, required output, available air and liquid pressure at the nozzle, feed method, spray pattern, duty cycle, material and connection. Use this category as the commercial product hub, then confirm the operating point against the selected model's published data before ordering.

Air Atomizing Nozzle Selection Checklist
Start with the required process result, not only the thread size. Send the following information so the nozzle and supply system can be reviewed together:
- Liquid: name, concentration, operating temperature, viscosity and any suspended solids.
- Required output: target flow per nozzle, minimum and maximum duty, and whether spraying is continuous or intermittent.
- Utilities: available air pressure and capacity plus liquid pressure measured as close to the nozzle as practical.
- Spray result: target pattern, coverage width or diameter, stand-off distance, droplet requirement and acceptable overspray.
- Installation: connection standard and size, orientation, available space, number of nozzles and access for inspection.
- Construction: preferred material, seal restrictions, corrosion conditions, filtration and cleaning method.
Where a value is not available, describe the process objective and current installation. Jeltecn can use a general engineering review to identify the next test or model data needed; final performance must still be validated under representative operating conditions.
