Engineering Checks Before Selection
- Flow and pressure: use the model performance table for water and confirm the actual pressure available at the nozzle inlet.
- Spray angle and distance: calculate the theoretical footprint, then allow for gravity, pressure, liquid properties and installation conditions.
- Liquid properties: viscosity, specific gravity, temperature, suspended solids and chemical compatibility can change performance or material choice.
- Free passage and filtration: compare the liquid cleanliness and particle size with the selected model and the upstream filtration plan.
- Connection and orientation: specify NPT or BSPT, male or female connection, mounting direction and available installation space.
- Material: select stainless steel or brass only after checking compatibility with the liquid and operating environment.
Full Cone Nozzle Applications
Full cone spray is used where liquid is needed throughout the target area rather than mainly around the perimeter. Typical engineering evaluations include stationary washing, cooling and quenching, dust control, process-water distribution and chemical spraying. The correct model still depends on flow, pressure, target geometry, liquid condition and maintenance access.
