How the ultrasonic atomizing nozzle works
Atomization takes place in two stages. First, high-speed compressed air shears a fine water stream into an initial spray. The air and water droplets then impinge on the vibrating head, producing a finer and more uniform fog. The vibrating head and high-speed airflow also help reduce dust accumulation around the spray opening.

Choose a model by the operating requirement
- SK508: the widest listed spray angle and the lowest listed air and water flow. Start here when shorter-range, wider coverage is more useful than throw distance.
- SV882: a mid-range 60° option with approximately 3.5 m no-wind spray distance.
- SV980: the narrowest listed angle and longest listed no-wind spray distance. It also has the highest listed air demand, so compressor and header capacity must be checked at full simultaneous load.
These are selection starting points rather than universal application guarantees. A visible fog does not by itself confirm dust suppression, humidification or cooling performance; define the required process result and verify it in the actual installation.
Common and thin-wall installation options
The nozzle can be connected with a common adapter or a thin-wall adapter. The common type can be fixed at the operating point by welding or another suitable mounting method. The thin-wall type passes through a wall opening and is secured with its retaining cap. The supplied drawing identifies a G1/8 water inlet and a G1/4 air inlet. Confirm the final adapter, sealing method and mounting dimensions before fabrication.
For multi-nozzle systems, size the compressed-air line for the combined air demand of every nozzle that will operate at the same time. - Dust suppression: position the fog near the dust-generation zone and validate dust behavior and added moisture.
- Industrial humidification: validate relative-humidity distribution, condensation and surface wetting.
- Evaporative cooling: check temperature, humidity, ventilation and the available evaporation distance.
