When to Choose a Narrow-Angle Full Cone
- The nozzle must reach a target farther from the mounting point.
- The process needs a compact filled footprint rather than broad near-field coverage.
- Available installation space limits the spray envelope.
- Flow and pressure can be maintained at the selected nozzle position.
Selection Checks
- Define the target size and nozzle-to-target distance.
- Specify flow per nozzle and total system flow.
- Measure pressure at the nozzle, not only at the pump.
- Select the model from the published water table.
- Review the liquid temperature, viscosity, specific gravity and solids.

Narrow Angle Versus Wide Angle

Flow, Pressure and Target Coverage
Higher system pressure does not automatically solve a coverage problem. The selected model, available pressure, supply stability, pipe losses and liquid condition must work together. Calculate the preliminary footprint, then verify distribution using the full cone spray distribution test.
Material and Maintenance
Review chemical compatibility and operating environment before choosing 303 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel or brass. If the liquid contains solids or forms deposits, include filtration, safe inspection access and a cleaning procedure that does not damage the orifice.
